Setting up the Grade Book icon on the teacher desktop

This only works on a school PC

1)  Login as the teacher on the PC

2)  Navigate to the home drive of the teacher
        - right click on START and select EXPLORE
        - find the H: drive (home drive) and left click once on it

3) Find and open the gradebook folder in the home drive (h:\gradebook)

4) Find the item labeled "smgb", and right click on it.  Select "Create Shortcut".

5) Find the new item labeled "Shortcut to smgb", and left-click-hold on it, drag it to desktop, and release click.

 

Initial Grade Book Setup

School Master must be run at least once successfully before performing the following steps.

1)  Login as the teacher on the PC

2)  Double click on the "Grade Book" icon - sometimes labeled "Shortcut to smgb"

3)  In the password field - type "pass" - without the quotes, and press enter.

4)  On the top menu, select "Utility"...then select "Establish SchoolMaster Connection"

5)  In the window that appears, enter your name (First Last), and enter your SchoolMaster password. Click OK.

6) A pop-up box should appear that says "Schoomaster Connection Established".  If the box doesn't appear, call Kathy or send an email to STP.

7) You may now import your class roster.

8) After the roster import, you may enter grades.
