Important dates to remember:

Monday, August 18th-First Day of School
Tuesday, August 19th- Open House 7:00 PM
Friday, August 23rd- No School
Monday, August 26th- All textbooks should be covered by Monday, August 25th.

This Week At A Glance

August 18th-23rd

Religion- Decorate the "Me" model and bring back on Tuesday. All School Mass on Wednesday. Begin Chapter One "I will be your God"

Reading- Begin 1st Vocabulary list on Tuesday. First quiz (13 words) will be Tuesday the 21st. We will be reading the story "Akiak" on Tuesday...ask your child to summarize the story for you!

Spelling- Test on Thursday- "Akiak" list is on page 281 of practice book. A copy of the list is stapled in your child's assignment notebook.

Science- Begin Unit 1 chapter 1. (Target skill- Classifying) Each day your child will have Science with Mrs. Lobb or Mrs. Thomas.

Math-Begin Chapter One Place Value Game SNAP in Friday. Begin Flash card review of multiplication facts.

*Please check your child's agenda for Geography and English homework assignments.

Parents: Please make sure that your child brings their signed Friday folder back to school on Monday of each week. Check backpacks for important notes/forms. Thanks!

About Us
STM is a Catholic elementary school for grades K-8. It is located in South Kansas City, Missouri, in a quiet residential area. The yearly enrollment is approximately 650. The class size is a maximum of 26 students. Students are encouraged to achieve their best and to participate in community service.
